Berke's budget up for another vote in City Council

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Will the proposed budget of Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke move forward today?
Last week, Chattanooga City Council members grilled the mayor's staff hoping to move the $212-million proposal to the floor for a first vote.  That didn't happen.
The majority didn't get the specifics they were looking for.
Councilman Larry Grohn said, while they support Berke's vision, the time for just presenting a framework for spending is over.
The Council hopes to vote on the new budget Tuesday.
