Fake salesman attacks Gordon Co. woman

GORDON COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -

A man pretending to be a salesman attacked a woman in Gordon County, according to deputies.

Officials reported the man went to a residence on Buck Boulevard Friday morning masquerading as a door to door salesman.

The victim says he entered her home and then attacked her. He fled the area on foot.

The attacker was a white man with brown hair and wore a navy blue shirt.

Deputy sheriffs and state troopers searched the area for several hours. The Sheriff's Office Air Unit and K9 units were also deployed.

Anyone with any information regarding this event is urged to call the Sheriff's Detective Division at 706-629-1244.
