Team Austin needs community support

Posted: Updated:

A new "Steps to Hope" project is preparing to raise funds for "Team Austin."  The money raised will go towards labor and material needed to build a wheelchair accessible ramp.

Austin is keeping his head up and dreaming big. He's determined to keep moving forward despite the life altering injuries that happened after diving in a swimming pool last summer leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.

Austin's family is extremely supportive by his side and countless community members want to chip in and help make his dreams come true.

A luncheon was the first fund raising event for "Team Austin" held at Taziki on Gunbarrel Road Friday afternoon.

Mark Wilson from "Steps to Hope, " says "we just want to do some renovations that will make things easier for them."
