CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) -

The Bradley County Emergency Medical Service has two new Trek mountain bikes from Scott's Bicycles in Cleveland.

These bicycles are set up and designed for emergency first response and will be utilized at community events in the area, as well as occasional patrol on the Cleveland greenway.

Bradley County EMS says in a news release that the bikes will not only help the community, but will promote good health by giving the EMT's and paramedics the chance to get some exercise.

Scott's Bicycles provided a significant contribution towards the purchase price of the special mountain bikes.

The remaining balance was paid for by donations from individuals and businesses within the community.

"We have a long list of contributors that have helped with donations to this project. They know who they are and we would like to say thank you to all of them," said Commander Shawn Fairbanks, who organized the project.
