Bledsoe escapee added to most wanted list

BLEDSOE COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

A man who escaped from a Bledsoe County Correctional Facility has been added to the state's Top Ten Most Wanted list.

Jeffrey "Bubba" Lynn Carter, Jr., 31, was working on a Tricor dairy farm Sunday when he  jumped from a tractor he was driving and ran into a wooded area around 7 p.m.

Carter was serving a 21 year sentence for a Davidson County aggravated robbery.

Carter is a convicted felon with a lengthy history that dates back to 1996 and includes aggravated assault, theft, robbery, burglary, vehicle theft, vandalism, reckless endangerment, drug charges, escape, evading arrest and resisting arrest.

Carter is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5'8", weighs approximately 165 pounds and has numerous tattoos on his arms and trunk. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, a white ball cap and green boots.

Law enforcement is aware that Carter has family and associates in Madison, Nashville, Ashland City and Gallatin and last lived in Millersville. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jeffrey Lynn Carter, Jr. is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463). There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
