SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN (WRCB) -

Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a crash Friday afternoon with injuries involving two tractor trailers.

The crash happened on Interstate 24 westbound at the 148 mile marker.

THP tells Channel 3, one of the tractor trailers was a tanker loaded with soap solvent that caught fire, but was extinguished. The other tractor trailer was loaded with cotton seed.

One of the drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an unknown hospital.

At this time both the left and right lanes are open and traffic is moving.

However THP tells us that the right lane has reopened momentarily to try to alleviate the traffic. But it will have to be closed again around 11 p.m. to off-load one of the tractor trailers.
