Good Wednesday. We are already seeing some pretty good showers moving up through the Blue Ridge this morning. Scattered showers and storms will be a little more widespread heading into the afternoon.
We are going to see a pretty consistent weather pattern through the rest of the week and weekend.
We have a lot of surface moisture, and a fairly unstable atmosphere which will allow for a few isolated showers during the morning. As we add the heat of the day into the mix, we can expect the showers to become a little more numerous during the afternoon/evening hours.
The biggest threat today will be from torrential rain which will make travel more hazardous, and could lead to some localized flash flooding.
Again, this will be the case through the weekend. The rain will be hit and miss, but where it hits, heavy rain will likely take place.
