Volkswagen is sponsoring a life saving teen driving program.

The new driver training program meets all of the Level 8 criteria set forth by the National Defensive Driving Institute

"Cars are the #1 killer of teens" says Jeffrey ‘Homer' Stillwell, founder of the Accident Avoidance Workshops, an Atlanta-based program also offered at Atlanta and Bristol Motor Speedways.  "Volkswagen realizes it's their future customers we're keeping safe … it's a terrific investment in their community's goodwill … it positions them as a leader in the industry!"

The program is an eight hour course for parents and students. It offers both the student and the parents a Defensive Driving Certificate, which can significantly reduce the insurance rates.

The course is hands on and focuses on emergency conditions drivers face.

The program will be offered in Chattanooga August 16 and 17. Cost to participate is $249 per parent/student team. A classroom session will be Friday with the driving course on Saturday.
