Good Tuesday. August is forecast to have above normal rainfall for our area, and we will start to realize some of that over the next few days.
The humidity is returning today, and morning temps are even about 5 degrees above where they were this time yesterday.
A warm front to our west will try to push a few showers our way today, though most of the rain will stay west and south of the Tennessee Valley. With that said, one or two showers could easily peel off and move through, so I will put the rain chance at about 40% today with highs in the upper 80s. The heat index will be in the low to mid 90s.
Through the rest of the week and the weekend, the forecast will not change much. We will be mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s. Each day, some showers and storms are possible.
Through Saturday, we could get 2"-3" of rain on the ground.
