TDOT announces projects for August bids

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

TDOT has announced which projects it will accept bids for on August 30.

TDOT says they will accept bids statewide for a total of 45 contracts in 72 counties.

Included in the projects are  resurfacing on S.R. 28 in Marion County;  on-call repair of longitudinal cable barrier on various Interstate and State Routes in Hamilton, Bradley, Sequatchie, Grundy, and Marion Counties; Chattanooga Smartway Intelligent Transpiration System (ITS) Maintenance in Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion and McMinn Counties;  and repair of the bridge on S.R. 60 over the Tennessee River in Meigs and Rhea Counties.

Bids on all projects will be received electronically by 10:00 a.m. CDT on August 30, 2013. TDOT has 30 days to analyze each bid and award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder. Bids may be rejected due to a number of factors.
