Cleveland Police are working to shut down a forgery scheme

Posted: Updated:

Cleveland Police are working to shut down a forgery scheme.
These are pictures of the men police think are operating the fraud ring.
Investigators have arrested four people for trying to cash fake checks at local banks.
Each suspect said they had been approached at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen, and asked if they wanted to make some cash.
They say the men asked to see their ID.
They were then taken to a bank, given their ID and a check for thousands of dollars and told to cash it.
Police are offering a reward for any information on this case.
