South Pittsburg holds prayer and thank you program

Posted: Updated:

It's been more than a month since heavy rain caused one of the worst floods in South Pittsburg history.

Businesses, schools, and homes were damaged, forcing evacuations. The July 10th flood caused a few million dollars in damage.

South Pittsburg Elementary, one of the hardest hit buildings, has reopened to teachers who are preparing for students to return August 12th.

South Pittsburg is still on a long road to recovery, but Thursday night was a time for prayer.

A time to say thank you to those who have helped get South Pittsburg back on its feet.

Channel 3 Anchor David Carroll was the guest speaker and Channel 3 Photojournalist Lee Broome was there to capture it all.
