JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WRCB) -- Ozzie Martinez had two hits and drove in three runs, but Chattanooga blew a four-run lead en route to a 6-5 loss on the road in Jacksonville.
The Lookouts have now lost three straight and sink to 3-13 on the road in the month of July.
Martinez hit a two-run homer in the fifth and added an RBI-single in the sixth as Chattanooga built a 5-1 lead. However, the Suns needed just one inning to erase the deficit.
Jacksonville batted around in the seventh, sending nine men to the plate while scoring six runs on three hits, two walks, one error and a balk. All six runs came with two outs.
Chattanooga out-hit Jacksonville 12-7 on the night, but mustered just one against relievers Arquimedes Caminero and Michael Brady in the final two innings.
Chris Reed gave up just one run on three hits in five innings, but did not factor in the decision. He struck out four and walked three while throwing 92 pitches.
Hector Nelo (5-2) took the loss after giving up Jacksonville's final two runs. Onelki Garcia gave up the first three in the inning to start the Suns' rally.
The two teams play game four of the five-game series at 1:05 p.m. ET Wednesday afternoon.
