TN Republican Party to air "Welcome" ad aimed at Obama

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

The Tennessee Republican Party is rolling out a different kind of welcome mat for the president.

They have purchased airtime and will broadcast a welcome message to the president detailing the recent success of the volunteer state.

"Welcome to Chattanooga Mr. President. Welcome to America. We're succeeding in Chattanooga, not because of your liberal policies, but in spite of them. We're fourth in job creation, top five for business, and the third freest state in the country, thanks to republican leadership. (...) Maybe you can learn a thing of two while you're here Mr. President.  This is what America should look like.  The republican party is responsible for the content of this advertisement," the ad states.

The add also features Tennessee's stunning views and landmarks.

"The messageisn't about President Obama or his feckless leadership on jobs and theeconomy--everyone is well aware of that dismal record," statedTennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney. "Instead, this ad is about the great things happening here in Tennessee because ofRepublican principles in action."

In 2012 Tennessee's gross domestic productgrew faster than the country as a whole and personal income growth in Tennesseeoutpaced the country as well.
