China Moon's in need of attention, but it's all good for Milk and Honey

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a successful week with no failing grades at the 20 restaurants visited.

However, before you head on over to one restaurant in Brainerd for a taste of the Orient you may want to check their score of a 75. Remember, a failing grade is anything lower than a 70.

At China Moon on Brainerd Road, inspectors found chicken out of safe temperature range on the buffet, dented cans, dirty floors and walls in need of repair. The inside of the walk-in cooler was dirty and the cutting boards are scarred. Also, meat and other foods were being stored on the floor.

The high score of the week can be found at Milk and Honey on North Market street. They score a 96.

Don't forget if you have a complaint about a restaurant call the Hamilton County Health Department at (423) 209-8110. I'm also getting a lot of emails sent to me at about restaurant concerns. I will forward those comments immediately to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon who acts on your concerns immediately.

As I say each week… enjoy your meal!
