Good Thursday. Finally! We will have some weather to get excited about today.
A front moved through yesterday bringing us afternoon showers and storms, and behind that front, light northerly winds are bringing in slightly cooler and drier air to the Tennessee Valley.
This morning, our temps are running about 5 degrees below yesterday morning, and dew point values have dropped from the low 70s to the mid 60s.
While we will have highs making it into the upper 80s today, the lower humidity will make it feel very comfortable with lots of sunshine through most of the day.
We will stay dry, but warm up a bit to about 90 Friday with a slight chance of an isolated shower or two east of town.
Another front will move in Saturday, and the timing of it has slowed down a bit so I expect the best chance of showers now to be Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. Rainfall amounts for that time period will range from .50" to 1.5".
