Fishing boat struck by lightning

Posted: Updated:

A Kentucky couple says they saw clear skies before a lightning strike hit their fishing boat on the Tennessee River.

The couple says they were heading back to Dayton to beat an oncoming storm when that bolt hit.

Greg Warner was driving the boat. His wife says he was convulsing for a bit before coming back to normal. She says she saw the bolt strike right before her eyes.

"it was a huge shock to the boat. It was a weird, weird, weird feeling. I don't even know how to explain what it felt like. I was just scared. Lord was I scared."

Paramedics checked out her husband. They say he'll be ok, but they will need a new fishing boat.
