Fire marshals investigating suspicious house fire

CHICKAMAUGA, GA (WRCB) -

Fire marshals are investigating a suspicious fire on Grand Center Road in Chickamauga.

Officials with Walker County EMS say they arrived on the scene around 12:39 a.m. Friday.

The home was 100 percent involved when they got there and was a total loss.

The family was on vacation when the fire started. Neighbors told officials they noticed several vehicles coming and going throughout the day and were suspicious.

Fire officials believe the fire started in the lower levels of the house and spread upstairs.

Because of how rapidly the flames spread, the fire is being deemed suspicious. Fire marshals are investigating.

No one was injured.
