Good Wednesday. Here we go again! Heat and humidity will rule again this afternoon with the high reaching 93 and the heat index hovering between 95 and 100.
The same ridge of high pressure that has been pumping in warm, humid air from the Atlantic for the last couple of days is still there, so look for another weather pattern that will offer lots of heat and humidity, but very little in the way of rain as the atmosphere remains fairly stable.
Even with that stability, however, when you have temps in the low 90s, and dew points near 70 one or two storms are likely to punch through so be watchful late today into this evening.
Our weather pattern will be changing over the next few days with the high pressure relaxing a bit Thursday and Friday allowing for more widespread coverage of afternoon showers and storms.
A cold front moving in this weekend will bring us a very good chance of showers and storms mainly Saturday evening into Sunday, but one or two showers SXaturday morning can't be ruled out.
We may see the front becoming stationary over the area Monday and Tuesday so I will leave a good chance of rain in the forecast to start off next week as well.
