A federal judge has approved a settlement agreement between Pilot Flying J and several companies that had sued over rebate fraud, according to a published report.

NewsNet5, of Cleveland, reported that the Class Settlement agreement was approved Tuesday by U.S. District Judge James M. Moody in federal court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.

A memo filed on Tuesday by attorneys for the plaintiffs said the deal was "an extraordinarily good result for the class."

It said the deal involves full repayment by Pilot of any amount owed, plus six percent interest. In addition, Pilot would pay all attorneys fees plus an "incentive award" to each plaintiff.
