Salvation Army responds to S. Pittsburg flood victims
SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN (WRCB) -
The Salvation Army is answering the call for help in South Pittsburg.
City leaders have asked the organization to provide food and drinks for residents affected by flooding.
Volunteers loaded up the mobile kitchen and were prepared to serve more than 100 people Monday.
The Salvation Army was also prepared to assist with emotional needs, as well as offer prayers.
The Salvation Army has been notified that the immediate needs are Borax and baby diapers.
Additionally, free cleanup kits are being distributed to affected residents. Monetary donations in support of this effort may be mailed to 822 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403 or given online at www.csarmy.org or phoned in to 1-800-Sal-Army.
