Brown and Brown Continue Winning Streak

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – The team of Rogie Brown and George Brown caught a five-bass limit weighing 32.56 pounds to take the win and the $2,000 first place prize in the Pepsi Bottling Company July CBA Open Bass tournament this Saturday at Chester Frost Park.

They also received a $100 bonus for being the highest finishing Tow Boat U.S. member in the tournament.

Over-all big-fish honors and $270 also went to the winning team for a giant largemouth bass that weighed 8.70 pounds.

Brown reported catching their winning stringer using a Soddy Custom Tackle football jig on a shallow hard bottom point were he had found a school of big fish earlier in the week.

Marc Pratt and Tony Crouch won the biggest spot award with a spotted bass weighing 1.80 pounds and earned them $90.

The duo of Lance Nunley and Thomas Wilson won the biggest smallmouth award with a smallmouth bass weighing 2.97 pounds which was worth $90.

The team of David Hix and Joe Hix were the highest finishing new team in the event which earned them a free entry into next month's event.

The father and daughter team of Anthony and Hayley Correll were also the highest finishing Youth Division Team which earned them a free entry into next month's event.

1st: Rogie Brown and George Brown with 32.56 lbs., $2,000
2nd: Gary Hutton and Steve Norris with 24.10 lbs., $700
3rd: Ron Willerson and Carter Day with 23.34 lbs., $550
4th: David Hix and Joe Hix with 20.74 lbs., $450
5th: Rick Camp and Jamie Hatcher with 20.20 lbs., $350
6th: Jamie Copenhaver and Adam Dysart with 19.87 lbs., $300
7th: Jon Delashmitt and Ted Pulliam with 19.61 lbs., $250
8th: Josh Wofford and Bruce Wofford with 19.50 lbs., $200
9th: Keith Ellis and Roger Kendrick with 19.00 lbs., $150
