CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team has enjoyed road trips to some historic places the past two years, and that trend will continue in Will Wade's first year as head coach.
The Mocs will visit traditional college basketball power UCLA during the 2013-14 season. A release from UCLA on Tuesday announced the November 24th matchup at Pauley Pavilion, which will be part of the eight-team Las Vegas Invitational.
UTC will also play a neutral site game at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas against Morehead State as part of the tournament on Nov. 28. Depending on the outcome of that game, the Mocs will face either Gardner Webb or IUPUI the following day.
Missouri, Nevada and Northwestern round out the field.
Wade confirmed two weeks ago Chattanooga has agreed to a two-for-one deal with Georgia that will take the Mocs to Stegeman Coliseum this season. The Bulldogs will return the favor with a visit to McKenzie Arena the following year.
Pauley Pavilion is the latest celebrated college basketball venue that UTC will visit in the last three years. Chattanooga played road games at Hinkle Fieldhouse (Butler), Assembly Hall (Indiana) and Rupp Arena (Kentucky) two seasons ago. They also played a road date at Allen Fieldhouse (Kansas) last year.
