One person was killed Sunday morning after a crash in Catoosa County.

Georgia State Patrol say a vehicle traveling on I-75 near mile marker 351 around 2:30 a.m. left the roadway, hit the guard rail and traveled down the embankment. Troopers say the car hit several trees before stopping.

Officials say the car started rotating around a sharp curve.

The driver, 28-year-old Ronnie Butler of Rossville, was not wearing a seatbelt.

He died from his injuries at Erlanger. There were no other passengers.
