Chattanooga Cares opens new HIV, AIDs center

Posted: Updated:

An organization helping people affected by HIV and AIDs is hoping a new location will help expand their mission.

Chattanooga Cares welcomed people into its new location on East Third Street Tuesday.

The new location places the organization closer to healthcare facilities and allows departments to provide quicker response for clients.

"Chattanooga Cares is really moving forward and to say this is the best year of the 27 years. I'd have to say that it is because it seems that it's really come together this year," says Jim Samples with Chattanooga Cares.

Chattanooga Cares provides medical counseling for individuals living with HIV or AIDs, as well as prevention and education programs in the community.
