One day after Patten Towers reopened to residents, fire crews responded to the building twice Saturday when fire alarms sounded.

Residents of the building tell Channel 3 the fire alarm started in a resident's home and the elevators shut down.

Multiple fire trucks responded to the building.

"My first thought was 'come on, not again,'" says one resident.

This comes on the heals of the building reopening after nearly a month. The fire that displaced the residents was electrical.

Chattanooga Fire Department spokesperson Bruce Garner says both calls were for food left unattended on the stove.

Patten Towers was granted Conditional Certificate of Occupancy certificate which required PK Management to have a comprehensive analysis of the entire electrical system and subsequent repairs.
