A Chattanooga Police officer was involved in a shooting Sunday night.

The officers were responding a disorder call in the area of the 2400 block of 6th Avenue when a man, identified as Alfred Oliver, ran past them and dropped a gun.

When he picked up the gun, the officers told him to drop it. The suspect ran at them with gun in hand and the officers chased him.

He pointed the gun at the officers twice, both times the officer fired one shot.
