CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

A man charged in connection with a 2010 murder has been found guilty.

The state and defense presented their closing arguments to the jury Friday during the Unjolee Moore trial.

Moore admitted to police he was sitting in a car when 39-year-old Bernard Hughes was murdered June 29, 2010.

Hughes was inside his apartment when someone knocked on the door in the middle of the night.

After answering and a long struggle; Hughes was shot in the head and chest.

Three other men were also arrested and charged separately for their involvement; John Thomas "Cutthroat" Simpson, Harold Francis Butler and Steven James Ballou.

Moore's trial started on Tuesday revealing the many twist, turns and players named in this case.

A co-defendant claimed a Chattanooga police officer withheld evidence that belonged to the officers niece.

According to Neal Pinkston, Executive Assistant District Attorney, the jury Moore guilty of first degree felony murder and attempted especially aggravated robbery for the death of Bernard Hughes, attempted second degree murder, and employment of firearm during commission of dangerous offense.

Moore will receive an automatic life sentence for the first degree murder conviction.

He will be sentenced on the remaining convictions in August.
