Three nabbed in Alabama drug arrests

DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WRCB) -

A routine patrol by a DeKalb County deputy early Wednesday morning spotted suspicious activity at a closed business that resulted in drug-related arrests of three people.

The deputy saw three males in the shop and, with permission of the owner, searched the business.

Officers found drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and a bag of marijuana.

Drug Task Force agents and Fort Payne Police Department officers responded to the scene and recovered the drugs and evidence.

Arrested were:

  • Jimmy Lee Swindal, 41, of Fort Payne, AL
  • Shannon Lee Spears, 38, of Fort Payne, AL
  • Joshua James Driskell, 32, of Fort Payne, AL


All three were charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The three suspects were taken to the DeKalb County Detention Center.
