One day after Channel 3 warned drivers in the Tennessee Valley to be aware of a gas thief, the person or people responsible strike another local business.

The Brainerd Road Rib & Loin is the latest victim in the recent ring of gasoline thefts. According to workers at O'Reilly Auto Parts, someone is cutting the gas "filler hoses" beneath cars and emptying the fuel into containers.

Yogi Center has owned Rib & Loin for 25 years and said this is the first time he's ever been vandalized. He said the heist happened sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and early Tuesday morning. He noticed gasoline around two of his trucks when he arrived to work Tuesday.

"They cut the lines to two of our trucks and then siphoned gas out of the third one," he said.

Center said it's a major inconvenience having two catering vans out of commission today. Rib & Loin is catering two parties Tuesday of nearly 500 people each.

"When you got a lot of work, you need your trucks," he said. "We got four of them. We needed all four today.
