CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Riverbend moves away from the Tennessee River for the annual Bessie Smith Strut.

Chattanooga's biggest block party kicks off tonight at 5:15 with gates opening at 5:00.
There are three entrances to get into the festival this year.

  •    MLK Boulevard and Lindsey Street.
  •    King and Tenth Streets.
  •    And MLK and Peeples Street.

There will also be several road closures today for the Strut.

MLK Boulevard between Georgia Avenue and Magnolia will be closed beginning at one this afternoon. You see it in the red it will open back up at 10 tonight.

All streets crossing MLK from Georgia Avenue to Magnolia Street and between 8th and 10th streets will be closed from 1:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. as well you see those streets in blue.

Admission tonight is $10 at the gate or $5 with a Riverbend pin.

The headliner "Pimps of Joytime" is partnering with the Anti-Gang Initiative for a special performance at 1:00 p.m. today at Lindsey Street Hall.
