CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – The veteran team of Mario Dematteo and Travis Bearden caught a five-bass limit weighing 28.92 pounds to take the win and the $2,000 first place prize in the Cleveland Boat Center June CBA Open Bass tournament this Saturday at Chester Frost Park.

The duo also won the over-all big-fish honors with a giant largemouth bass weighing 10.11 pounds which earned them another $330.

Dematteo and Bearden reported catching their winning stringer by fishing a football jig on ledges in eighteen to twenty-four feet of water.

Finishing in second place was the duo of Shane and Randy Frazier with a limit weighing 25.89 pounds. They were also the highest finishing Tow Boat U.S. member which was worth an extra $100.

Justin Medley and Glen Gamble won both the biggest spot award with a spotted bass weighing 2.62 pounds and the biggest smallmouth award with a smallmouth bass weighing 3.14 pounds. These two fish earned them $210.

The team of Taylor Massingill and Trent Huie were the highest finishing new team in the event which earned them a free entry into next month's tournament.

The father and son team of Jeff and Josh Reed were the highest finishing Youth Division Team and also received a free entry into next month's event.
