Good Thursday. We had some strong storms producing heavy rain and wind yesterday. There was some flooding in the McMinn County Courthouse, and several homes, and we had a couple of reports of light wind damage in Hamilton County.
I would expect a repeat this afternoon/evening. We have plenty of tropical moisture coming up from the south, and that could spin up one or two storms this morning, but the widespread storms will be this afternoon into the evening.
Tonight the storms will taper off, and we should see dry weather to start Friday, but a few more showers and storms are possible Friday afternoon as another front pushes through. By Friday night, we should start to clear out by the time Jake Owen takes the Coke Stage to kick off Riverbend at 9:30.
Over the weekend, I can't completely rule out a stray storm, but overall, the pattern will be a dry one for Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday night into Monday, yet another front will bring another round of showers and storms to the Tennessee Valley.
Highs throughout will be in the low to mid 80s, climbing to about 90 toward the end of next week.
