Civil Twilight will be playing the Riverbend Festival June 12.

The band will play at 9:30 p.m. on the TVFCU stage.

Civil Twilight is a rock band from Cape Town, South Africa. Their sound is often compared to U2, Muse, Jeff Buckley. and Radiohead.

The group is made up of brothers Andrew McKeller and Steven McKeller along with Richard Wouters and Kevin Dailey.

The McKellers were raised in a musical household. Their mother played piano and their father was passionate about jazz.

In 1996, Andrew along with friend Wouters started a band. They discovered Steven could sing and write music.

The group was signed with Wind-up Records and has released two studio albums.

Their music has been featured on a number of television shows including "One Tree Hill, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," and "The Vampire Diaries." They have also been featured in the films "Underworld: Awakening," and "I Am Number Four."

Their debut single, "Letters from the sky" reached number five alternative radio charts and remained in the top for six months of the year. Their single "Fire escape" made it to the top 20 alternative and received extensive coverage on Vh1, Fuse and MTV.
