OKLAHOMA CITY (WRCB) - The Tennessee Lady Vols were supposed to play a quarterfinal World Series Softball game tonight. Instead they were huddled in the basement of their Oklahoma City hotel.

Tornadoes once again ripped through parts of Oklahoma Friday night, putting Oklahoma City residents on high alert.

The team kept fans updated with their Twitter account.

They first tweeted, "entire hotel is in lowest level of parking garage basement."

After the first wave of severe weather the team started to make their way back to the hotel.

More sirens forced them back underground.  After another hour the team tweeted, "everyone is safe and sound and eating in the hotel lobby. Thank you all for your tweets! Greatest fans in America!"

Our affiliate in Knoxville (WBIR) reports the Lady Vols will now play possibly two games on Saturday starting at either noon or 1pm.
