Good Tuesday. Getting back to the grind will be made a bit easier by the warm but nice weather continuing today.
A strong ridge of high pressure continues to keep a stable air mass over the Tennessee Valley, keeping the rain chance to below 20% today through Thursday. Highs during this time will stay in the upper 80s. The normal high is 83. We will remain about 5 degrees above that through the rest of the week.
As we move into Friday and Saturday the high pressure ridge will begin to break apart and move eastward, making us susceptible to higher humidity, and isolated afternoon thunderstorms triggered by the daytime heating.
Sunday, however, will bring about our best rain chance. A cold front will move through bringing widespread showers and storms late Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.
We will cool down a little as we dry out Monday afternoon. Highs will drop into the low 80s, and stay there through Tuesday afternoon.
