Chattanooga police ask for help to ID robbery suspect

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Chattanooga Police are seeking the public's help to identify a robbery suspect.

Before midnight on May 12, a Mapco gas station/convenience store ay 5500 Highway 153 in Hixson was robbed.

The suspect robbed the clerk at knifepoint, demanding cash. Once the clerk surrendered the money, the suspect fled, also taking food and cigarettes.

Detectives believe the suspect may also be involved in other recent robberies.   

The suspect is described as a white male, mid-20's, 5'10" tall with a slender build.  He has short dirty blond hair, a goatee, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.
