Storms possible again Thursday

Posted: Updated:

Some showers and storms may redevelop today as a cold front passes through the Tennessee Valley. But don't worry too much, they aren't expected to be widespread or become severe. They'll be rather scattered around the region. Anything that develops may still be around during the late afternoon rush hour but will then fade out this evening. The overnight brings fair skies and patchy fog.

If you're getting a head  start on the holiday weekend, high pressure takes over Friday making way for very pleasant, dry weather with abundant sunshine and highs around the middle 70s in the city.

The weekend will be fantastic with loads more sunshine and perfect outdoor weather! Expect a cool start to Saturday with early morning temperatures in the 40s, warming into the 70s for the afternoon. Sunday will be a little warmer waking up to 50s, reaching the lower 80s in the afternoon. Humidity won't be too high so it'll feel comfortable outside!

Memorial Day should be mostly dry with highs in the middle 80s and only a slim chance for rain as humidity increases a little. Tuesday and Wednesday stay warm, in the 80s, with low chances for showers and storms.
