Murray Co. sheriff's department warns of PCH scam

Posted: Updated:

The Murray County sheriff's department is warning residents of a Publisher's Clearing House scam.

Officials say complaints received calls from someone claiming they had won the Publisher's Clearing House.

In order for the complaint to receive the $350,000 and new Mercedes prizes, they must fulfill criteria.

They were given a number, which investigators say is listed in Jamaica, and told to wire money by Western Union.

Officials warn not to give any personal information, and do not give them money.
The sheriff's department is investigating the case.
