Florida Georgia Line is comprised of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. The two are both southern bred, Hubbard from Florida and Kelley from Georgia, who met Belmont University in Nashville.

They began writing music together and playing in clubs, and by December 2011, they had a record deal with Big Loud Mountain.

They released a five song EP, "It'z Just What We Do," and released their first single, "Cruise" the following May. The song hit top 10 in 14 weeks.

They were honored at the Academy of Country Music Awards as "Top New Artist" and "Top New Vocal Duo." They were also nominated for "Top Vocal Duo."

"Cruise" has also been nominated for Billboard's "Top Country Song," and for the CMT Music Awards "Video of the Year," "Duo Video of the Year," and "Breakthrough Video of the Year."
