Charges against Meigs County Sheriff's deputy dismissed

CHATTANOOGA -

(WRCB) -- An indictment against a Meigs County Sheriff's deputy, Bradley Collins, has been dismissed by the state of Tennessee after a review.

Collins was indicted on February 4, 2013, on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of felony reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon after a shooting incident in Rhea County.

"Bradley Collins insisted upon his innocence from the onset of this ordeal and he was confident that the truth would prevail.  All of the charges against Mr. Collins have been dismissed, and he has been completely vindicated and cleared of any wrongdoing."  said attorney Justin Angel.

In a news release, Angel said all charged has been dismissed.
