(WRCB) - Good Friday! Overall, the day will be good with highs in the mid to upper 70s. A cold front will be approaching through the day, and as it does we can expect clouds to build and southerly winds to pick up blowing at 10-15 mph this afternoon.
This system is breaking up a bit, so I don't think we will have any severe weather or large accumulations of rain. We will see some isolated showers and storms this afternoon through Saturday morning, but accumulations will range from .10" to .25". We may have slightly higher amounts in the path of the center of low pressure in a line from Ft. Payne up through Murphy. There we can expect about .50"
You may wake up Saturday to a rumble of thunder or a brief shower, but the trend through the day will be the rain chance pushing off to the east, and drier weather moving in.
A weak, secondary front is going to push through Sunday morning, and will bring some clouds, but the chance of rain with that front is less than 20% Sunday.
Highs Saturday will reach the mid 70s.
Behind that front, cooler weather will finally move back in with sunshine and highs near 70 Sunday afternoon.
Monday will be great. Lows Monday morning will be in the 40s, and the high will only reach 70. Monday night the low could drop as low as the upper 30s.
the warm air will make a rapid comeback though, with highs returning to the mid 70s Tuesday afternoon, and reaching the low 80s by mid week.
