Man shot on W. 14th Street Court; suspect in custody

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – A man is facing an attempted murder charge, following a shooting Thursday afternoon.

It happened in the 600 block of W. 14th Court Street around 3:00 p.m.

Police spokesman Nathan Hartwig says 23-year-old Michael Daniels was shot in the leg during a reported argument with 27-year-old Carlos Terrell.

Terrell was later found in Walker County, where he was taken into custody.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for a non life-threatening injury.

Hartwig says Terrell is awaiting extradition to Hamilton County, where he faces charges of attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and aggravated trespass.
