WHITFIELD COUNTY, GA. (WRCB) -- The son of a former north Georgia sheriff is in trouble with the law again.

Jeremy Summers, son of former Catoosa County Sheriff Phil Summers, pleaded guilty to an April DUI charge in Whitfield County, Wednesday.

A judge sentenced him to 30 days in jail and ordered him to pay a fine.

Following his sentence, he will be transferred to Hamilton County, where he is wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for violating the terms of his probation.

Summers has faced numerous charges in Hamilton County since 2004, including other DUI arrests.

He was arrested most recently in 2010 for making a fake 911 call from a downtown payphone.
