Sevierville woman says husband has 2 other wives

SEVIERVILLE, TN (AP) -- A Sevierville man faces bigamy charges after his wife told police he has two other wives.

Terrie Marion reported 42-year-old Phillip Marion to police on Wednesday. He turned himself in and was released on $1,000 bond.

Terrie Marion told The Mountain Press (http://bit.ly/190R5zX) she has been married since 2002. She says she knew her husband had a son in South Carolina from another marriage, but she did not realize until recently he was still married to the mother. She said she learned this week that he also has a third wife in Ohio.

She is hoping to have her marriage annulled.

In Tennessee, bigamy is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $2,500 fine.

No number was listed for Phillip Marion in the phone directory.
