UPDATE: Man dead after head-on collision in Tunnel Hill

TUNNEL HILL, WHITFIELD CO, GA (WRCB) - Georgia State Patrol is investigating a traffic fatality in Tunnel Hill.

It happened on Highway 41 at Cottonwood Mill Road just after 6:00 Wednesday morning.

Investigators say a Ford F150 driven by a 16-year-old crossed the center line and collided head on with a Pathfinder.

The driver of the Pathfinder, a 62-year-old male, was killed. Investigators say he was less than five miles from his home.

The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No names have been released.
