Chattanooga police chief honored by department of defense
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Chattanooga's police chief received national recognition last week.
Thursday, Chief Bobby Dodd was recognized as a Patriotic Employer by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an operational committee of the U.S. Department of Defense.
Chief Dodd received this award for his support of employee participation in the National Guard and Reserve Forces.
The ESGR was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between reserve component members and their civilian employers, and to assist in the resolution of conflicts that may arise from an employee's military commitment.
