Family of five displaced in duplex fire

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – An early more fire displaces a family of five.

The Chattanooga Fire Department answered a call around 12:30 Tuesday morning on Pawnee Trail of a duplex fire.

When firefighters arrived on the scene half of the duplex was fully engulfed in flames.

Crews quickly got the fire under control but one side of the duplex was severely damaged.

The cost is estimated around $75,000.

There were no injuries, everyone had successfully escaped the structure without harm, thanks to working smoke alarms.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
