(WRCB) -  Three women in Ohio were rescued Monday after being held in captivity for 10 years.

Elizabeth Smart and Jaycee Dugard are two women who were also abducted and kept in captivity for long periods of time.

Jaycee Dugard was held by her captors for 18 years.  11-year-old Dugard was walking toward the school bus when she abducted in 1991 by Phillip Craig Garrido.   Dugard was kept in a concealed area behind Garrido's house.  During that time Dugard gave birth to two daughters.  In 2011, Garrido was sentenced to 431 years in prison.  His wife, Nancy,  who also admitted to holding Dugard in captivity, received 36 years to life.

Jaycee lives a relatively reclusive life with her two daughters.

Elizabeth Smart was 14 -years-old when she was taken from her home in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2002.   She was found nine months later in Sandy, Utah, 18 miles from her home with her abductors Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Ileen Barzee.   In an agreement with the prosecution, Barzee plead guilty to assisting in the abduction.  She was given 15 years in prison.  Mitchell was given to two life term sentences in federal prison.

Elizabeth is now married and works for a network broadcasting station.
