Still a late day shower or two

Posted: Updated:

(WRCB) -- Good Tuesday.  Flood waters will continue to recede.  All creeks, rivers, and streams have crested and should fall below flood stage about this time Wednesday morning.

For today, we are looking at some patchy areas of dense fog this morning.  That will burn off, revealing partly to mostly cloudy skies.  We should have enough sun to get us into the low 70s this afternoon.

The low that brought the rain is slowly moving on, but it will leave behind enough instability to combine with the daytime heating and produce a few scattered showers during the afternoon hours today through Thursday.

Warmer weather will also be making a comeback this week.  The normal high for this time of year is 78.  We will hit the low 70s today, upper 70s tomorrow, and low 80s Thursday.

Let's move on to the weekend.  It's another "iffy" one on timing with a front that looks (right now) like it will push in on Thursday night, bringing rain to the area through the day Friday into Saturday morning.

As the front leaves, we may see an additional shower or two Saturday afternoon into Sunday.  By Sunday afternoon we have should have sunshine and cooler weather in place that will last through the first half of next week.
